Service Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms before authorizing service. They explain pricing, payment, insurance responsibility, special-order parts, cancellations, vehicle conditions, warranty service and collection rights. Your signed estimate, work order, invoice or electronic approval identifies the work you authorize. We provide an opportunity to review these terms before service begins. Questions? Call or text 617-959-1884.

Effective October 3, 2026.

1. Service Authorization & Scope

You authorize Local Auto Glass LLC to inspect your vehicle and perform the services shown on your accepted estimate, work order or invoice. You confirm that you own the vehicle or have the owner’s permission to approve the work. Quotes are based on the vehicle and service information available before inspection. Different glass, cameras, sensors, moldings, corrosion, previous repairs or concealed damage can change the work required. We will explain changes and obtain your approval before additional work or charges proceed, as required by Massachusetts law. Follow the specific safe drive-away time, tape-removal, aftercare and calibration instructions provided for your job.

2. Estimates, Pricing & Payment

Unless stated otherwise, quoted prices reflect an accepted electronic payment method, such as debit card, credit card or another approved electronic payment. We do not add a separate card-processing surcharge. Private-pay service is payable at completion unless different terms are agreed in writing. Deductibles and other customer-responsible amounts may be collected before or at completion. We provide an itemized invoice and obtain approval for additional work and price changes as required by law. Cash discount: When the full customer-paid balance is paid in cash at completion, a 3% cash discount applies. After calculating that discount, the final cash total is rounded down to the nearest $10. Any applicable sales tax is calculated as required by law. This discount does not apply to insurance-billed amounts or amounts not paid in cash at completion.

3. Insurance Claims & Your Responsibility

We can assist with reporting a claim, documenting authorized service and direct insurance billing. Your insurer decides coverage under your policy; a claim number, referral, assignment or estimate does not guarantee payment. You remain responsible for your deductible, denied or non-covered authorized charges, coverage limits, depreciation or betterment that applies under your policy, and any properly due unpaid balance. If an insurer does not pay for authorized service, we will notify you and provide supporting documentation. You authorize us to communicate with your insurer and claim administrator as reasonably needed to verify coverage, document authorized work and seek payment. This does not authorize additional service you have not approved.

4. Customer & Vehicle Information

Please provide accurate contact details, VIN, registration, vehicle options, sensors and insurance information. Vehicles of the same year, make and model may require different glass for cameras, antennas, heating, tint, acoustic layers or other equipment. If incorrect or incomplete information causes an unnecessary trip, return visit, part exchange, added labor, transfer, restocking or rescheduling cost, you may be responsible for reasonable, disclosed costs actually incurred. We will try to reduce or avoid those costs.

5. Parts Deposits

Special-order or transferred glass, moldings, sensors or related parts may require a disclosed deposit for some or all of the parts cost before ordering. The deposit is credited to your final invoice. It is refunded if we cannot provide the agreed service. A cancellation deposit is refundable when parts can be returned without unrecoverable supplier or transportation costs. Actual documented, unavoidable restocking, transfer or return-shipping costs may be deducted. A supplier restocking fee may be $50; a supplier may impose a different or higher amount. We explain applicable costs and any deduction, with available supporting information. No automatic forfeiture applies simply because a deposit was paid.

6. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice. We understand emergencies and will accommodate changes whenever reasonably possible. With a paid deposit or valid card on file, rescheduling has no Local Auto Glass rescheduling fee when parts remain returnable or usable and no unrecoverable third-party charge results. Late cancellation after ordering or transferring parts may result only in reasonable costs actually incurred and unavoidable, such as supplier restocking, transfer, return-shipping, special-order or service-trip costs. Supplier return deadlines vary; some allow only seven days. We will explain the deadline and try to return, exchange or reuse parts to minimize your cost. A card on file is not permission for undisclosed or unauthorized charges.

7. Vehicle Condition & Installation Limits

We are responsible for our work. Pre-existing damage, weakened or previously repaired trim, clips, moldings, paint, body panels, electrical components, aftermarket accessories, rust and structural deterioration may be concealed until the old glass is removed. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions we did not cause. If corrosion is found, we explain the condition and options. Minor surface corrosion may be prepared and treated when appropriate to the adhesive procedure. Severe rust or damaged metal can require body repair before installation can safely proceed. Treatment during glass service is not permanent body restoration and does not guarantee that pre-existing corrosion cannot return or spread. We make reasonable efforts to remove accessible broken glass; small fragments may remain in inaccessible panels, carpeting, vents or body cavities. Use care until any remaining fragments are removed.

8. ADAS Calibration & Safety

Required calibration is included only when shown in the authorized work order. We explain any manufacturer-required calibration after glass replacement. Calibration may require diagnostic access, additional time or driving, fuel, suitable weather and roads, and a properly functioning vehicle. Trouble codes, prior collision damage, alignment, tires, suspension, modified ride height, damaged brackets or other vehicle conditions may delay calibration or prevent completion. We discuss additional diagnostics or corrective work before performing it. Follow the vehicle-specific instructions and do not rely on driver-assistance features that are awaiting required calibration.

9. Warranty & Protection Plans

Your applicable invoice and written Warranty & Protection Plans describe coverage. Local Auto Glass offers its Lifetime Workmanship Warranty and, for eligible non-insured windshield replacements, the complimentary 18-Month Windshield Protection Plan, subject to their published terms. New damage, misuse and conditions unrelated to our workmanship are not workmanship warranty claims. Contact us promptly and allow a reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct a covered issue. Removal, replacement, resealing, alteration or related service by someone else may affect coverage because the original installation and later changes can no longer be verified. Please call us first, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety. See the full Warranty & Protection Plans for coverage details.

10. Completion, Inspection & Payment Acknowledgment

At completion, you have an opportunity to inspect the service and raise concerns. Signing or electronically accepting a completion acknowledgment confirms that the listed work was completed, you had an opportunity to inspect it, it appeared satisfactory at that time, and payment properly due is authorized. Tell us about concerns before signing so we can address them promptly. Completed services and sales are final subject to applicable warranty and legal rights. A completion signature or payment does not waive covered warranty issues, hidden defects, rights to dispute a charge or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

11. Nonpayment & Lawful Collection

We will notify you of a past-due balance and give a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. Contact us if you dispute a charge or need to discuss payment arrangements. For amounts lawfully due, we reserve lawful collection remedies, including a civil claim and any motor-vehicle lien or security right available under Massachusetts law. A lien arises, is maintained and is enforced only when its legal requirements apply; this page does not create an automatic lien or authorize repossession. Reasonable court costs, filing fees or other collection expenses apply only to the extent recoverable or awarded in a lawful proceeding. No automatic chargeback penalty applies.

12. Service Concerns, Acceptance & Your Rights

Please call us first about a service, warranty or billing concern: 617-959-1884 or localautoglass@outlook.com. Describe the concern and allow reasonable access to inspect and correct covered work before arranging related repairs elsewhere, except when immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety. This does not restrict lawful dispute, chargeback, complaint or consumer-remedy rights. By signing or electronically accepting the estimate, work order, invoice or authorization after receiving these terms, you authorize the listed work and agree to pay amounts properly due. Massachusetts law governs. An unenforceable provision is limited or removed only as necessary; the remaining terms continue. Nothing here waives rights that cannot legally be waived.
